Filename Size Description
amosQfor.lha 49K Q4mat V1.00 by Depeche Software - This
formats DOS disks, but it formats only
track 0 and 40. It`s enough to reformat a
DOS disk. Written in Amos.
catch100.lha 26K CatchDisk 1.0 by Alessandro Sala - Its
purpose is to detect when a new disk is
inserted in any drive and check if it is
properly formatted: if not, CatchDisk
executes the Format program with the
drive, in which the disk was inserted,
already selected. The user has only to
choose the format options and start the
operation.
clicknot.lha 3K ClickNot 37.3 by Richard Waspe - This is
to stop your floppy disks from clicking.
It works under WB2 and above and can be
run from the CLI, the Workbench or from
your WB Startup draw. It will
automatically detect DF0: to DF3: and
stop them clicking. In its grotesque 348
bytes it even has a version string.
dcmp1.52.lha 59K DCMP - Disk CoMPare utility 1.52 by Tobias
Ferber - DCMP compares two disks block by
block. This is of great use if you want to
verify a copy of a disk that was copied in
the same way (block by block). It was
mainly written to test the reliability of
a Video- Backup-System.
ded1_1.lha 50K Disk-Editor 1.1 - This is a new Disk
Editor with many features, it was written
to be used mostly to repairing of disks,
on which failed repairing programs, or for
other "fine" work on disk especially on
DOS structures. You can also use it as
binary disk editor.
delEd.lha 37K Deluxe Editor 1.8b by Cath of LSD - This
is a disk editor with the following f
df234.lha 18K DirFool 2.34 (7.1.94) by Chris Lawrence -
When using KS2, this replaces the Di
disk1128.lha 82K DiskSalv II 11.28 by Dave Haynie - This is
a disk recovery program for all devices
that use any of the 2.04/2.1/3.0 file
systems. DiskSalv will scan (analyze) a
bad disk volume for anything that can be
recovered, and will restore these items to
any AmigaDOS volume. Has many other
Features.
disktool.lha 21K Disk tools by Cath of LSD TrackINS - Put
file onto the tracks of disk, BlockINS -
Put file onto the blocks of disk, CuteSum
- Calculates or clears the disk checksum
and BlockRead - Reads the blocks of a disk
and saves it as a file.
dskinfo.lha 37K Disk info Tools 1.0 by Barney Blankenship
- This can display a pie chart of your
directories, has a file finder and lets
you compare two directories. Docs in the
program.
dup045.lha 6K Disk-upgrader 0.45 by Cyberactif - DUP is
a nice tool for those who want to release
trainers, fix-files, or something else
like this. It compares two disks and
writes the different blocks into an
executable and self-extracting file. The
file can then be crunched with any
executable file-cruncher.
dwipe.lha 3K D-Wipe version 1.0 by Shagratt of LSD -
This utility is for bulk erasing disks.
Insert a disk in DF0: and either click on
the WIPE gadget with the Left Mouse button
or hit the Return key. The disk is wiped
in one second, repeat the procedure as
often as needed. You can click on the quit
gaget or hit Escape to quit this utility.
fcd102.lha 4K FCD V1.02 by Nico Max - FCD stands for
Fast Change Directory and might be a
useable replacement for the original
command "CD". So if you want to change to
a dir lying in the deepest jungle of your
HD f.e. bla/hi/ jo/here/is/right. With FCD
you only write: FCD right.
filex11.lha 176K FileX 1.1 by Klaas Hermanns - This is a
binary file editor which offers many
features.
fsinfo10.lha 5K File System Info 1.0 by Stephane Requena -
Somtimes I was getting some unreadable
Directory Cache formated disks to OS2.0 or
OS1.3 users. There was no means to know
the FileSystem used for a disk in the C:
commands, I know with SysInfo or DiskSalv
its possible, but I don`t want to load
that everytime!
headc372.lha 9K Head Cleaner 37.2 by Richard Wasp - This
is for cleaning your floppy disk drive
heads. It works by stepping the heads in
across the cleaning surface of the head
cleaning disk, thus continually exposing
the heads to fresh uncontaminated cleaner,
whilst greatly increasing the life of your
cleaning disk.
med-t-.lha 5K Turbodisk version 1.7 by Yoghurt - This is
able to transform your diskdrives 2 - 8
times faster. This proggie is composed of
two parts which are working in
co-operation. The first part is a
blitter-patch which increases the drive
speed, the second is a file cache located
somewhere in the availble memory.
messy11.lha 3K Messyfy 1.1 - This is a CLI-only program
designed to "smartly" convert Amiga- style
file names to MS-DOS' brain-dead "8+3"
style, trying to keep them understandable.
In the meantime, Messyfy creates a script
(called "execute.me") useful to rename
back the files to their original Amiga
names.
pc37104.lha 374K PowerCache 37.104 by Michael Berg - This
is a flexible and powerful disk Caching
system.
pvtree12.lha 37K PVTree v1.2 - Show and print any disk
tree structure, like on PC file managers.
Needs MUI.
qdir.lha 14K Qdir v1.36 by Gregg Scholfield - Qdir was
written for those of us who use the CLI.
Have you been frustrated with the random
order of files when using the AmigaDOS
LIST command? Or the nice orderly
appearance of the DIR command but with no
file statistics? I have, and that's why I
wrote this program.
qdisk201.lha 31K QDISK (Query Disk) 2.01 By Norman Baccari
- This provides you with the ability to
monitor, from WorkBench, the space usage
of all AMIGA DOS disk volumes that are
currently mounted. QDisk can also send you
a notification when usage exceeds a limit
set by you.
rlx-ff.lha 11K FindFile 3.0 by Valkyrian Of Reflex - The
reason for creating FindFile is of course
to find a file. I got bored wandering
around in my enormous amount of
Directories to find a file I knew existed
but didn't know where. This program will
search the directory specified and all
sub-directories beneath as well.
scsiutil.lha 55K SCSIUtil V2.0 by Gary Duncan and Heiko
Rath - A utility to do some low level
stuff with SCSI devices.
separ1.0.lha 9K SERPAR 1.0 by Matti Rintala - This opens
a window and then copies everything from
the serial port to the parallel port. When
its window is closed, it quits. This way
I can set A2000 to print everything to
the serial port and redirect the output to
the printer on my A4000. great for Parnet
users! KS2+
showd02.lha 2K Showdisk by EQU - This is used to display
the ASCII (>31, <127) contains of your
disk on your default output. Currently
only disks with 80 Tracks (512 bytes
blocksize) are supported. KS2+ needed.
showl10.lha 18K Showslink 1.0 - Shows links in all
directories, documentation in German, but
looks easy to use.
String11.lha 14K Strings 1.1 by Anders Lindgren - This is a
short utility program written to find
character strings in any type of file,
typically an executable. It will read the
file, searching for all strings. If one is
found, it is printed out.
zap244.lha 9K Zap 2.44 by Timo Rossi - Zap is a binary
file view/edit program. You can examine
and modify the file in hexadecimal and
ASCII mode. Zap keeps the file in memory,
so moving in the file and searching is
very fast, but available memory limits
the size of files that zap can handle. KS2
required.
